Three children abducted by their parents have been returned to the care of Child, Youth and Family tonight.
Details were sketchy, but it appeared the children, whose ages and sex were not known, were taken from CYF care at a home in Opotiki on the East Coast.
A police spokesman said the incident happened just before 5pm.
Both parents were being interviewed. The children were not harmed.
