Motorcyclist weekend's sole road fatality

A motorcyclist killed in a collision with a car in Auckland was the only fatality on the roads over the weekend.
The incident took place in the Beachlands suburb yesterday on Beachlands Rd, just before 12.40pm.
Senior Sergeant Matt Rogers, from the police northern communications centre, said the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
His name has not yet been released.
Two people in the car suffered minor injuries.
