The toddler killed when he was hit by a four-wheel-drive vehicle in his neighbour's drive on Monday was Siri Siaea, from Otara in south Auckland.
The 18-month-old boy died after the neighbour backed her vehicle out of her drive to go shopping and failed to see him.
It was the second toddler driveway death in Auckland in two months after a 22-month-old child died in suburban Weymouth in July.
