Convicted killer says he has changed

Convicted killer Antonie Dixon has a page on the widely-viewed international website MySpace on which he admits he attacked two women five years ago.
Dixon admits he "cut the girls" but says that was a long time ago and that he has changed and wants another chance.
He calls himself "complicated" but also says he is a "down-to-earth" guy."
An Auckland High Court jury last night found Dixon guilty of attacking Simonne Butler and Renee Gunbie with a samurai sword in Pipiroa near Thames on January 22, 2003, and murdering James Te Aute in Auckland on the same night.
It was his second trial and second conviction on the charges.
The jury was told Dixon hacked at the women with the sword, cutting off the hand of Ms Gunbie, and then drove more than 100km to Auckland where he shot and killed Mr Te Aute.
TV One News tonight disclosed that Dixon has his own page on MySpace.
It carries a number of photos of Dixon, some of them taken inside the jail where he has been held since his first trial.
"I'm a real down to earth guy that's had a lot of problems in my life since birth," Dixon says on the site.
"I am a complicated guy. There's too much to tell. Either love me or hate me but either way I'm me.
"Yeah it's true it was me that cut the two girls but dat was a long time ago. I have changed. I just want a good life from now on and another chance."
It's not known when the website was created but it has been up since the spring of last year as the page says it was last updated in September 2007.
TV One said the Corrections Department did not know about Dixon's web page until told today but it added the department confirmed the page was created with the help of someone outside the prison.
The partner of the man killed by Dixon said she was "shocked" by the news and Sensible Sentencing Trust spokesman Garth McVicar said the web page should be taken down.
Dixon was jailed for life in May, 2005, with a minimum of 20 years by Justice Judith Potter who called him a "cold-blooded and utterly callous" killer.
Last year the convictions were overturned by the Court of Appeal and a new trial ordered.
Dixon now faces another mandatory life sentence for murder when he is sentenced.
