Christchurch newborn Louis Lansley is a statistical wonder.
He was born on Sunday, just after lunch, or more precisely on 9-10-11 at 12.13pm.
His parents, Belinda and Stuart Lansley, said yesterday they were "stunned" by the coincidence.
Louis was born at home in the bath and arrived more than a week early.
"As I was trying to push him out, my husband was saying, `Oh, wouldn't it be funny if he was born at 12.13', and he [was].
"He actually popped out at 12.13," Belinda Lansley said yesterday.
In the months leading up to Louis' birth, both parents had joked about the possible birth date, saying that 9-10-11 would be an easy birthday to remember.
Louis was not due until October 18, but Lansley went into labour early on Sunday.
The 7lb 5oz baby (3.4 kilograms) arrived after about 90 minutes of established labour, surprising the midwife and his parents.
It would have been an even greater coincidence if Louis had weighed 7lb 8oz, Belinda Lansley said.
Louis is the couple's third child, and his two sisters were delighted with their little brother, she said.
