LATEST: Armed police looking for a "person of interest" have blocked two central Wellington streets.
Police were this morning standing guard at the entrance to Rolleston and Hargreaves Sts in Mt Cook.
An officer, armed with a semi-automatic rifle, at the scene said it was "just a job".
Police were issuing a warrant and armed officers had been called as a precautionary measure as the person was considered dangerous.
