A Californian found dead underneath a Kubota four wheel drive on the Coromandel last Friday has been named.
Sergeant Andrew Morrison of the Whitianga Police said the victim was 21-year-old Jeffery Robert Frum of Newport Beach in the United States.
"Mr Frum's body was found underneath an overturned Kabota RTV on a private rural driveway at Hahei by the couple who he had been staying with,’’ Mr Morrison said.
"Department of Labour investigators have attended the scene and there are not considered to be any suspicious circumstances.
Mr Frum’s death which has been reported to the coroner.
The fatality occured on a private property so is not considered a road death.
