A motorbike rider is being treated for a possible broken ankle after colliding with a car in Horowhenua.
As the car was turning at the corner of SH57 and Karaka Street, Tokomaru, 2.30pm this afternoon, the motorbike hit the car from behind, sending it sliding across the road.
While the female car driver was uninjured, the male motorbike rider is being treated for minor leg injuries, Central Communications Inspector Marty Parker said.
The road had already been cleared.
