Woman breaks free after being grabbed by man in Dunedin
A woman managed to break free after a man grabbed her outside a Dunedin property.
Police are investigating an incident in Signal Hill, on Monday about 10.20pm.
A man approached the woman on a street outside a property and grabbed her arm.
She was able to break free and run away.
"We treat an attack on anyone extremely seriously and we have experienced staff who are involved in these cases," a police spokesman said.
It was the latest incident involving men either assaulting or attempting to assault women in the city.
Inquiries were continuing into the sexual assault of a jogger who was tied up in Ross Creek on December 1.
Police urged any member of the public who may have seen the Signal Hill incident to contact the Dunedin Central Police station on 03 471 4800, or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
