An injured tramper has been rescued after a personal locator beacon was activated in Fiordland.
A Rescue Coordination Centre spokeswoman said a male was picked up by a helicopter from the Dusky Track.
He was suffering from hypothermia and was being taken to Southland Hospital, in Invercargill, she said.
The personal locator beacon was activated at 4pm today.
No other details are known at this stage.
