Auckland man Gregory Reynolds found dead in Tongan bush
The body of missing New Zealander Gregory Paul Reynolds has been found in the Tongan bush.
Radio New Zealand reported the Auckland man was found in dense bush, close to the Tongan resort from where he went missing almost three weeks ago.
He was last seen on the road between Liku'alofa Beach Resort and Ha'atafu Village on April 7.
Police have been appealing for information about the 47-year-old's whereabouts since he missed his return flight to New Zealand on April 8.
Tonga's Police commissioner Steve Caldwell told RNZ land and sea searches by soldiers and volunteers failed to find him.
On April 22, police said they believed there were no suspicious circumstances involved in his disappearance.
Tongan police also met with Reynolds' family on April 21 to brief them on the investigation and to offer support.
Caldwell said the investigation into Reynolds' death was continuing.
