A Christchurch man found lying in a driveway with serious injuries yesterday has died.
Police said Warren Noel Blackett, 44, died in Christchurch Hospital this afternoon.
Blackett was found about 6.30am yesterday in the driveway of a home on Yaldhurst Rd.
Earlier today Detective Senior Sergeant Tony Hill asked for two youths seen in the area to make contact with police.
"A witness that has come forward in the past 24 hours has reported seeing two youths, both male with fair hair, running along Yaldhurst Rd towards the city in the early hours of Wednesday morning," Hill said.
"At this stage we don't know whether there's any connection between these people and the injuries sustained by Mr Blackett. We appeal for them to come forward and contact us."
If anyone else had seen these people in the area they were also asked to come forward.
