Stockcar driver Rick Fuller who was seriously injured in a crash at the Te Marua Speedway in Upper Hutt last night is reported to be in a stable condition in Wellington Hospital.

He had to be cut from his car by on-track emergency servics after his stockcar collided with another and crashed into a concrete wall.
He was flown to Welligton Hospital by the Westpac Rescue helicopter.
Joanne Kinnaird, whose husband and son were at the track, said racing was stopped for an hour as it took rescuers that long to get him out of the car.
They cut the top off the car and roll cage using a gas axe and grinder to get him out safely.
Promoters asked people, as a mark of respect to of the driver, not to take photos or videos of the scene.
