The daughter of two Wellington lawyers has pleaded not guilty to a new charge of injuring while driving with excess breath alcohol.
Sophia Cara Ord Nisbet, 18, has been remanded by a Wellington District Court registrar until next year.
She was originally charged with driving with a breath alcohol level of 641 micrograms per litre of breath.
The limit for those under 20 is zero.
The new charge was called for the first time today.
The charge relates to an incident when St Patrick's College pupil James Dumelow, 18, was hit by a car as he walked home from a private birthday party held at the Worser Bay Lifesaving Club.
She is the daughter of lawyers Letizea Ord and Val Nisbet.
