A 44-year-old man was found dead after his vehicle rolled down a five metre bank near Wairoa, police say.
A farm worker found the wrecked vehicle about midday today, three hours after the crash is believed to have happened. The driver had died at the scene.
The vehicle came off Tiniroto Rd, crashed through some trees, rolled down bank and came to rest on it's roof.
Police said the vehicle was not readily visible from the road but it could be seen from the neighbouring farm paddocks.
Police Serious Crash Investigators attended the scene and enquiries into the cause of the crash were continuing.
