A man was stabbed when an argument between neighbours in Auckland got out of hand.
Police and ambulances were called to a Jordan Ave, in the suburb of Onehunga, at 6.45pm.
A verbal disagreement turned into a punch-up, which eventually resulted in one man pulling out a knife and stabbing the other, police said.
A spokesman said he understood the extent of the injuries to be a couple of puncture wounds, which were not life threatening.
St John Ambulance said the victim of the stabbing had suffered moderated injuries and was taken to Auckland Hospital.
The ambulance service also took another patient from the same scene, who had pre-existing medical issues.
They could not confirm whether that person was part of the melee.
