Police name Jacqueline Linda Carter as the Levin woman who was killed in a car crash on Sunday.
The 56-year-old was driving a Nissan northbound on State Highway 57, Arapaepae Road, in Levin when she collided with a southbound Mitsubishi vehicle.
Another car which was following swerved to avoid the initial crash, but also ended up hitting the Nissan.
Six other people were hurt in the crash.
The cause of the crash is being investigated.
