There was only standing room as family and friends gathered to see slain Ashburton woman Sina Nerisa Solomona off on her last journey.
Hundreds of people attended the funeral at Baring Square Methodist Church Hall in Ashburton this afternoon.
Family members paid tribute to her and sang during the service. Her cousin said she was a "family treasure" and a "beautiful, bubbly, happy, open person."
Her colleagues also paid tribute to her.
Solomona, 22, was found with head injuries just inside the back door of her Ashburton home about 2.40am last Saturday by a family member.
A teenage boy appeared in court on Thursday charged with her murder.
