Australian bushfires are sending a yellow, smoky haze over New Zealand.

Metservice forecaster Richard Finnie said the trajectory of the airflow meant particles from across the ditch were caught up in upper south easterlies over New Zealand.
The yellow skies, that had turned ''milky'' later this morning, were at its most intense today.
''We've had it before, I know [after] the Melbourne ones we got quite a number of days of it.''
It could create an ''interesting'' sunset tonight, he said.
