LATEST: Levin police are hunting a man who has been approaching students of a primary school.
Between 8.30am and 9am on Monday an 11-year-old girl was walking along Balmoral St toward school.
A cream coloured vehicle stopped on and a man approached her, grabbing her by the arm and asking directions to a nearby park, police said.
The man held her tightly by the arm before getting back into his vehicle and heading north on before turning left into Liverpool St.
Police said the girl did not know the man.
The girl was upset by the incident and police would like any further information.
The man has been described as dark skinned with a moustache, wearing a black beanie, black jacket and black pants.
He was the only person in the vehicle.
