Driver lucky to escape after car collided with a parked car, flipping onto its roof, in a quiet street in Onehunga, Auckland.

A driver was lucky to escape a crash with a parked car without injury on Wednesday night on a quiet street in Onehunga, Auckland.

Emergency services attended a crash on Trafalgar St, Onehunga, at around 10.25pm after a car hit a parked car, with both rolling onto their roofs, and ending up on the footpath.

Police confirmed that no-one was injured or transported to hospital.

The sole occupant of the car was lucky to escape injury.

The road was closed for a short time while the vehicles were righted and removed from the footpath.
