RAIL, BUS LINE CLOSURES
The Johnsonville line has re-opened but bus replacements are operating on other lines across Wellington's rail network. Bus replacements will run hourly. Because of road conditions and bus availability Metlink advise please expect and plan for delays or make alternative arrangements if travel is urgent.
Open - trains will run hourly from 12.02pm from Wellington to Johnsonville and 12.32pm from Johnsonville to Wellington.
All services are cancelled due to the need for urgent track work. Buses replacements will run hourly starting from 10.14am from Wellington to Waikanae and 10am from Waikanae to Wellington.
Hutt Valley Line

Services between Melling and Petone are cancelled until further notice. There are no bus replacements - please use alternative transport.

We have now started planning for the evening peak services - at the moment we are planning for half hourly services with definite bus replacements needed on the Hutt Valley Line between Wellington and Petone - will update you as we have more information.
There will be no Eastbourne buses for the rest of today, no trolley buses until Monday at the earliest, no South Coast buses until further notice and no bus services on routes through Priscilla Crescent.
A decision will be made later today around the running of buses after midnight.
School buses will operate this afternoon for those schools that did open today.
Flights in and out of Wellington resumed at 11.45am today, but travellers are still to advised to check www.wellingtonairport.co.nz for delays and cancellations.
Some flights Air New Zealand have be able to land and take off in Wellington but strong winds continued to disrupt operations.
Restrictions on ground operations continue, including a limit on the number of domestic gates able to be used. One of the two trans-Tasman services scheduled today has left and the other was expected to depart shortly after 4pm.
Air New Zealand jet services are continuing to operate, however, only a small number of Link services are operating.
