Truck crash causes traffic backlog
Auckland's southern motorway has reopened after debris from a truck crashing into an overbridge was cleared.
A truck carrying snow machines hit the Greenlane overbridge just before noon today, causing a traffic backlog and closing the southbound lanes for nearly two hours.
Concrete debris and parts of the snow "tractors" were in the lane, a witness said.
The driver was able to speak with police. It is not known if there were any injuries.
Witnesses said there were "gouges" in the bottom of the bridge where the truck hit it, but it "didn't look too serious".
