A specialist fire crew has responded to a boat on fire in the Waitemata Harbour this afternoon.
The fire service were called to a blaze in the engine room of a 32-foot launch, which had five people on board, on the western side of the Harbour Bridge around 2.10pm.
The specialist boat crew from the Parnell fire station responded on the police launch using portable pumps and extinguished the fire by about 2.40pm.
There were no injuries.
The boat is being towed into harbour by the coast guard.
