One person in hospital with smoke inhalation injuries after metal factory fire in Onehunga
One person has been taken to hospital in a moderate condition following after a metal factory fire in Auckland.
Eight fire crews responded to the blaze at Hayes Metals on Neilson Street in Onehunga at 8.37pm.
The building had been evacuated, and one person received smoke inhalation injuries.
A piece of copper coil had caught fire inside the factory, and had since been removed.
A fire service spokesman said ventilation was being carried out.
The fire was scaling down now, he said.
