Gas leak in Dunedin city centre
Dunedin's Central Business District has reopened after a gas leak in the city this morning.
A block of George St was evacuated and cordoned off while emergency services dealt with the leak and gas residues.
Police say there is no longer any danger, although a small area in Albion Lane off George St remains cordoned off as a precautionary measure.
Dunedin emergency services were called to the gas spill, caused by a cut line, around 9.45am.
