Two women have been hospitalised after a head-on collision in Hawkes Bay this morning.
One woman, 57, was flown to Hawke's Bay Regional Hospital by the Lowe Corporation Rescue Helicopter with serious chest, arm and neck injuries after the crash on State Highway 2 north of Norsewood at 5am.
Another woman, in her twenties, was taken to Hawkes Bay hospital by St Johns Ambulance where she was currently in a stable condition, Hawkes Bay District Health Board communications manager Anna Kirk said this morning.
