Three people were injured this afternoon when a piece of plywood blew off a Christchurch building.
High winds blew the plywood off a building on the corner of Dundas and Colombo Streets, around 3pm.
The injured people are a male in his 50s, a female in her 20s and a two-month-old boy. All three have been taken to Christchurch Hospital with serious injuries including head injuries.
It is unknown whether the three are related.
Strong winds disrupted flights in and out of Wellington today.
