Scrub fire west of Auckland

Emergency services have been on the scene at Karekare Rd since 1pm where the large-scale fire which has been fueled by high-winds has spread up the hillside.
Helicopters are also dumping sea water over the blaze in an effort to stop it from spreading to nearby homes.
The fire has also caused large rocks to fall to the roadside.
