Rail: Wellington commuter trains should be running as normal this morning, says KiwiRail. Freight services have also been cleared.


The Ministry of Education reports schools in the affected area will be contacted by Ministry staff today. If people have any concerns about their schools, they should contact their school property advisor.
The Ministry's Masterton and Porirua offices will be closed until 11am for precautionary engineering checks. Staff in these offices should check for updates about the status of their offices on the staff information line from 9am.
