Four people have been rescued from Auckland's Waitemata Harbour after their boat caught fire this morning.
Coastguard spokeswoman Georgie Smith said one of the boaties suffered minor burns to the arm during the blaze on the launch near Waiheke Island.
A member of the public alerted the Coastguard to the emergency about 11.30am, she said.
The four people were being taken back to shore by a sea rescue boat.
"Everyone is safe and sound. A Coastguard volunteer has treated the person with minor burns."
It is not known what caused the fire, which started in the boat's engine room, she said.
A fire crew have contained the fire.
