Cyclists are being warned to steer clear of the Northwestern Motorway cycleway as another king tide peaks in Auckland.
Water flooded the cycleway along the western shore of Waitemata Harbour at high tide about 11am.
An Auckland Transport spokesman said he expected the cycleway to be closed until at least noon.
No road closures due to the high tide had been reported, he said.
Several of Auckland's major roads were flooded by king tides yesterday.
Worst affected was the Northwestern Motorway.
Both the motorway and the cycleway were under knee-deep water as the high tide occurred yesterday morning.
No serious damage appeared to have been caused as the weather was fine and calm.
