Tremors strike Hawke's Bay

Eight weak tremors have occurred in Hawke's Bay overnight.

The quakes, ranging from a magnitude 2.0 to 3.8, struck between 10.57pm and 2.28am.

The magnitude 3.8 quake occurred 45 kilometres southeast of Hastings at a depth of 71km at 1.11am. It was initially recorded as magnitude 4.0.
