Quake cluster hits Hawke's Bay

A cluster of small earthquakes hit Central Hawke's Bay this afternoon.

GeoNet reported a 4.0 magnitude earthquake 25km north-east of Porongahau at about 1.40pm today. 

It was followed by a 2.5 about 10 minutes later, and then a 3.2 at 2.30pm, both centred closer to Waipukurau.

Their intensity was rated as light to weak, and there were no reports of damage.
