Cantabrians have been rocked by a magnitude 4 earthquake this morning.
The quake struck at 10.25 am, located about 10km south-east of the central city, near Moncks Bay.
Geonet described the quake as being of "moderate" intensity and was 7km deep.
Cantabrians took to social media immediately after the quake.
Twitter user Jeffrey Simpson said it was the "biggest aftershock I have felt in a while".
Ashley Campbell said it was her first "quake in a shower" experience.
"Nothing like a small ... earthquake to get your Sunday morning going," Lee Stevens wrote.
A police spokesman said there had been no immediate calls to emergency services following the quake.
