Five injured in two-car crash

Five people have been injured in a two-vehicle crash in Carterton this morning.

Two have been taken to Masterton Hospital.

Emergency services are at the scene at the intersection of Perrys Road and East Taratahi Road.

One person at the scene appeared to have moderate injuries, Sergeant Andy Dow of central district police said.

A Wellington Free Ambulance spokesman said that five patients were assessed from the two cars involved in the crash.

Four people had minor injuries, the fifth had moderate injuries.
