Man denies six rape charges

A Taranaki man facing 45 counts of domestic and sexual abuse of women and children has this morning pleaded not guilty in the High Court in New Plymouth.

Allan Neil Rosewarne, 48, faces charges including rape, sexual violation, kidnapping, cruelty to children, administering Class A drugs, and threatening to kill.

Justice Paul Heath, appearing on video link, remanded Rosewarne in custody for trial on August 4.

The trial is set down for four weeks.
