Police are searching for an 11-year-old girl who has gone missing in Massey, Auckland.

The girl left home around 5pm and has not returned. Her name has not been released.

She is Caucasian, 160cm tall, described as ‘‘skinny’’, with long dark brown hair usually tied in a pony tail.

She was wearing a red long-sleeved top with white stripes and black track pants. She had a blue and white scarf, and black and white hat, and was also carrying a white bag with a green tartan pattern. She may also have carried a blue blanket.

Anyone who sees the girl should contact Henderson police or the police Northern Communications Centre on 09 571 2800.
