Body found in Beach Haven creek

A man’s body has been discovered in a creek by a member of the public in Beach Haven, Auckland, this afternoon.

Police responded to the discovery on the North Shore around 3pm.

Enquiries into the man's identity and an investigation into the circumstance of his death are ongoing.

A specialist recovery team was on the scene because of the location and the positioning of the body.

According to the Beach Haven Community Notice Board Facebook page the body was discovered in Shepherds Park.

Police had been going door to door asking residents about a homeless person, according to the page.
