Merry Christmas from On the House
On the House is preparing to rise for the Christmas break. I do hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable holiday.
Thanks to all the readers and contributors during the year who have made this blog fun to write and, more important, to read.
Now, I know there has been the odd impatient poster over the past couple of summers when things are slow and I've been a bit reluctant to start back too early.
So this year, I've had an idea. Over the summer, a series of guest blogs will appear on the site, written not by bloggers or even writers but people from all walks of life who don't normally contribute to the blogosphere.
I've got no idea what they're going to say - only that I've asked them to write about what they want the Government to do in 2010.
Look out for the first one in early January. Hopefully they'll provoke some discussion over the silly season.
Merry Christmas.

Merry Christmas Colin. No eating paper smoothie stunts as a present for us? We look forward to your guest blogs and will tear into them with the same vicious enthusiasm we applied to yours.
Merry Xmas! Look forward to reading your whanau's blogs.
Colin,
Have an excellent Christmas and a good break, I think it's going to be a busy year next year. It's time for family and friends who we should focus more on during the whole year.
Merry xmas to all
Thanks Colin and moderators - only a couple blocked this year, I must be mellowing. Hope everyone's enjoyed the banter as much as I have. As a parting thought, lets all remember that no matter who you vote for, the Government always gets in. Merry Christmas and Best of Luck for 2010.
Merry xmas to all. Be safe and have a great new year.
Merry Xmas and here's hoping some of us will learn a little tolerance of others' ideas.
If their contributions are good, Colin, will they continue throughout the year?
Thanks Colin for a very entertaining year, I always enjoy reading your blogs, and of course, all the posts that follow!
Merry Christmas to all on this blog, and have a safe and relaxing holiday.
