Everyone reacted to the Christchurch earthquakes differently.

Whether we like it or not, the quakes gave us a chance to start over in some aspects of our lives, and for many people this meant leaving Christchurch. For others, the post-quake city provided opportunities for a new adventure.

If you left the Garden City, tell us why? Did you lose your job, was the shaking too much, had your house turned in to rubble?

Perhaps it was a shift to the North Island or a bigger jump across the ditch, or even further afield. Wherever you went, we'd like to know.

What was it like starting over in a new place? Is there anything you miss about Christchurch?

Others have chosen to call the Garden City their new home.

Whether it's for a few months or a few years, Christchurch has been welcoming new faces since the shakes.

If you've moved here in the past couple of years, why did you?

Was it family, work or studies that lured you? Do you like your new home or is the city driving you mad?
