Marc Krieger's future is uncertain but at least the next three days will be devoted to Christchurch home owners.

The EQC Truths blogger who faces a contempt of court action for uploading a leaked email containing the private information of 83,000 Christchurch homeowners is in Christchurch today to offer his services to the public - for free.

Currently based in Te Anau, Krieger, who worked in EQC's call centre in Wellington for about eight months, is not sure what the next few months hold although he is contemplating a consultancy service for people dealing with the Earthquake Commission (EQC).

He has resigned his job in Te Anau.

He believes about three quarters of the problems homeowners encounter in the claims process can be resolved simply.

Krieger will be based at the offices of Earthquake Services, the operation run by Bryan Staples, also a former EQC employee and now critic.

Staples received the initial email containing the information about 83,000 householders in a mistaken release by EQC.

The free service finishes on Wednesday

People wanting to contact Krieger need to attend in person at 60 Fitzgerald Ave, Christchurch.

Krieger told The Press he still believed EQC should be audited or examined in a detailed way, but he realised that without political will that was not going to happen.
