Leaving Chch 'best thing for my kids'

Yes we have moved from Christchurch to New Plymouth - we are now having to pay rent and mortgage and we have no idea of timing to fix our house, which is in the over $100,000 bracket but has been green-zoned for a long, long time.
The insurance companies are not interested in doing repairs and the stress of living with in-laws for 18 months was too much so we are one of the lucky ones who managed to find work elsewhere.
I have been back to Christchurch many times since moving six months ago, I have very mixed feelings - overwhelming sadness at the loss, frustration and anger at the delays (particularly in the domestic market), amazement at the rescilence and guilt for leaving.
However it has been the best thing for my children, they are not so anxious, don't have to worry about facilities being open or not, and seem a lot happier.
