Police are searching for a woman who robbed a petrol station worker at knifepoint in Napier tonight.

The incident happened at 8pm at a Mobil station in Bay View. The male employee was not harmed.

It was not clear if the woman made off with any stolen goods, but she had possibly taken cash and tobacco, a police spokesman said.

Police are looking for a dark green or blue Ford Falcon with a stripe down its side, and are searching the wider Hawke’s Bay area.
