A Waitara postal worker has been charged with the manslaughter of his father three months ago.

Brendon Lee Charles Bell, 23, was arrested in Auckland following the death of his father, Reginald John Bell, 52, and charged with his manslaughter.

He is currently on bail.

Bell first appeared in the New Plymouth District Court on April 16 and was remanded for a High Court case review in New Plymouth through a video link on July 3.

The online death notice states the father, known as Manny Bell, died on March 16 at Middlemore Hospital.
