The third car stolen from a Palmerston North car dealership has been found in Turangi.

The vehicle, a Mitsubishi Evolution, went missing along with two other vehicles of the same type, a motorcycle and various sets of mag wheels when Rose City Cars, in Rangitikei St, was burgled in April.

Detective Sergeant Dave Thompson said the vehicle was found yesterday when police were looking for a wanted man in Turangi.

The man, who hid under the bed at the property when police arrived, had strong connections to Palmerston North, he said.

A forensic examination of the vehicle would be carried out today.

Police are still searching for the missing motorcycle, an orange and black KTM.

Anyone with information about the burglary is asked to call Detective Mike Deegan on 351 3600, or provide information via Crimestoppers, 0800 555 111.
