An alleged pair of burgling brothers have been remanded in custody after police charged them with a Picton crime spree.

The brothers, aged 17 and 21, face multiple charges in Blenheim District Court : burglary; unlawfully taking a motor vehicle; unlawfully interfering with a motor vehicle; and receiving stolen property.

The 21-year-old is also charged with theft and intentional damage.

Meanwhile, a 22-year-old Picton woman is in custody and will appear in Blenheim District Court tomorrow on charges of receiving stolen property.

She faces joint charges with the brothers of unlawfully taking a motor vehicle and unlawfully interfering with a motor vehicle.

Sergeant Kris Payne said police had recovered thousands of dollars worth of property which will be returned to the owners.

Police are still investigating leads to recover other stolen items not located during the search warrants.
