For the second time in three weeks police have released an image of a man they want to speak to in connection with an incident shrouded in mystery.

Detective Leigh Jenkins will not reveal details of what happened in Ashburton in the early hours of June 1.

However, the man pictured in CCTV footage was known to be at the Arcadia nightclub that night.

''Police are unable to go into details of the incident at this time, but are keen to hear from anyone who may have information which could help identify this person,'' Jenkins said.
