Rental car agencies are being advised to be wary of a woman with a large scar on her face.

Police are seeking Angela Pidduck, 32, who allegedly provides agencies with false details and stolen credit card numbers to rent cars that are never returned.

Police said she had three warrants out for her arrest.

She had offended throughout Auckland and in Cambridge, Tauranga and Whangarei, police said.

Acting Detective Senior Sergeant Richard O'Connor said Pidduck was identifiable from "a large scar on the right side of her face that runs down her cheek to the corner of her mouth".

"It is likely that Ms Pidduck will continue to offend before she is apprehended by police," he said.

"We particularly ask rental car agencies to be aware of Ms Pidduck and her specific type of offending."
