Arrest over Auckland stabbing

A man has been taken to hospital following a stabbing in Auckland's Old Railway Station.

Police have arrested a 22-year-old they wanted to speak to in connection with a stabbing in Auckland on Saturday.

Police were called to Te Taou Crescent at the old railway station apartments about 3pm on Saturday. 

St John's staff treated a 40-year-old man who had been stabbed in the ribs. 

The victim was in a stable condition on Sunday.
